Wherever additional storage space is needed at short notice for industry or trade, Herchenbach is the partner in demand. This owner-managed company has specialised in rapidly installed semi-permanent buildings with aluminium frames. These structures are manufactured on the principle of a modular construction system which allows the structures to be on-site and ready to use by the customer within only a few weeks. All structures are also TÜV-tested and suitable for long-term, permanent installation.
Whether the storage space is for paper and cardboard, semi-conductors, engine components or plastic parts: Even delicate goods can be safely stored in the structures built by Herchenbach. That is because various climatic requirements can also be catered to with the different variants of the Herchenbach structures – heating, cooling, condensation-water protection, UV protection, minimum airflows etc. are all possible. Special custom structures even allow small aircraft hangars and large 20,000m2 beverage storage structures to be built with the intelligent structure system. Herchenbach has been in business since 1924, almost 100 years of proven solutions for commercially used temporary buildings. The company has evolved from the original business as a festival and event building constructor and specialised on the business with medium and large companies all across Europe. Herchenbach currently has offices in Germany, France and the UK in Skelmersdale.
Since customers usually need a quick solution for either short- and long-term storage uses, a lot of R&D efforts have gone into optimising the speed of installation of buildings while increasing their durability. Every week, the company installs over 5,000 square metres for its customers – all around the world if requested by the customer. Recent projects have taken place in Argentina, Qatar, Bhutan and Norway at the polar circle.
In order to be able to cater to the needs of the customers better, the research and development department is currently working together with structural engineers to deliver larger buildings in terms of height and clearspan. Side heights of 8 or 9 meters will soon be possible, just as widths of 30 or more meters will soon be available from the standard range of Herchenbach buildings. Various patents have been filed around these innovations. These innovations will give customers more options in finding the right solution to their respective need. As always with Herchenbach: simple, fast and economical.
